  3. Dear Diane,

So sad to hear of Jim’s passing. As you know we attended Imperial School in Big Sandy, TX for many years together. He was a year ahead of me and we rode the school bus together a lot. He was always a great friend and we would often sit and talk – about what I can’t even vaguely remember after all these decades later. One of my more recent memories was in the mid-seventies at a ministerial conference in Pasadena. I had taken Amtrak all the way from the East Coast. One of the sessions ran long and I was about to miss my train. Jim noticed my concern and took me in his car to the terminal just in time. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this challenging time.
