GCI’s congregation in Orlando, Florida, pastored by Steve Schantz (at left in the picture at right), recently started a second worship service oriented toward young adults. A key factor is the involvement of Ish Beloso (at right in the picture) who grew up in GCI and attended Ambassador University.
Ish stopped attending GCI for a time, but recently returned and has become a worship leader in the Orlando congregation. He tells his story in the video below.

That sounds like one smart young person with a really smart plan and humble attitude to boot. What I like about what I’m hearing here is that it doesn’t sound like you’re going to be just putting something together for the convenience or even control of the young people involved—you really plan on reaching out to the community and caring for it. And doing it in conjunction with the original church in a way that will feed into it’s mission and ministry. Sounds like this could work. But it will take hard work. But sounds like you guys have it in you to pull it off, through God’s grace. Kudos to all involved.
