We are thrilled to report that a perfect heart match has been found for GCI pastor Martin Manuel’s grandson Jason Richards. As we publish this, Jason is undergoing heart transplant surgery. Please pray for the success of the surgery and a positive outcome.

Here’s an update on the update–relatives of Jason report that Jason’s new heart is now in place and is beating! Thanks to all for their prayers, words of encouragement and thoughts, and all praise to God!
Thanksgiving carries over as we rejoice about this new heart and its life-giving work as God blesses its function! Prayers continue that it will remain functional for Jason.

Our family deeply appreciates the love expressed by so many people and the prayers for Jason during this difficult past two years. His cardiac physician, who is not known for highly optimistic reports used the word “phenomenal” yesterday (Dec. 3) in commenting on his post transplant progress. Truly “He has made (us) glad!”
This is great good news Martin. I can’t imagine how very difficult the last two years have been for you all. I praise God for the good outcome and am praying for Jason’s full and speedy recovery.
