Choosing a helpful topic is the most difficult in my opinion.

Thanks for your comment. I agree that choosing a sermon topic can be a real challenge. One approach that some helpfully use is that of following a lectionary, which sets out the passage to be preached from each week. A commonly used lectionary is the Revised Common Lectionary. There are various versions of it online. A helpful lectionary resource is found at http://www.workingpreacher.org/preaching.aspx
