Likewise might we say, “fellowship” (koinonia, communion) should precede, accompany and underpin leadership lest we become aloof, disconnected and out of touch with those we partner with in the body of Christ.
Interesting that it is seems likely that the name “Pharisee” meant “separate ones”. Jesus and Incarnational Trinitarian theology leads us in such a refreshingly healthy and different direction as servant leaders who are fellowshipping followers, not aloof and separate.
