Remembering the Life of John Novick

We were saddened to learn of the recent death of John Novick, former Lead Pastor of GCI’s congregation in Jackson, Mississippi.

John and Cathy Novick

Our dear friend and brother John Novick passed into glory February 20th. I ask you to join me in praying for his wife Cathy and daughter Briana and the Jackson church. John fought the good fight against bone cancer and finished well. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Cards for the Novick family can be sent to:

  1. Dear Cathy and Briana,

So sorry to hear about these most disturbing news. Our days on this side of eternity are numbered, but when the Kingdom is established in all its fulness and glory our loved ones will be with us forever. Death has been conquered in and through Jesus, our Savior. In Him we have the sure promise of wonderful things to come. Suffering such a tremendous loss is painful beyond words. We pray that the Lord of all comfort will encourage and uphold you.

    Praying for you,
    Santiago and Elke

  2. John was a great friend and brother. Of his many gifts the one that touched me the most was his gift of encouragement. It seems the Holy Spirit gave him the exact words to speak at the most needed time. A spiritual warrior has left this earth leaving behind a legacy that will last into eternity.

    1. so beautifully and accurately said, Mr. Rice. I am so blessed having known the Novicks for years and Cathy from pre-school years. I can never recall their letting me down .

  3. Dear Cathy and Briana, I am so sorry to hear about John. I remember him from college as a positive and friendly individual. Great that he was such a good servant of the church over the years. May God continue to be with you both and give you comfort and peace during this challenging time of loss and readjustment. Blessings, Phil Hopwood
