The following is a follow-up to our article in the last issue, from Leonard Banks, GCI pastor in Rochester, NY, on his wife Patama, who has been diagnosed with lymphoma.
Patama’s recent tests reveal the lymphoma is more aggressive than doctors initially thought. She is required to be in the hospital for four days to receive chemotherapy treatments. They will give her three weeks rest at home and then she will return to do this all over again. In all, she will have six hospital visits, four days each time. She will have three weeks rest at home in between each treatment.
Dear Leonard and pajama, I am praying that our loving father will heal you according to His will. We know that He loves you but I am sure this is a difficult time for you and your family. May you be consoled knowing that your brothers and sisters in christ love you and will continue to come boldly before our father’s throne concerning your situation
Dear Patama and Leonard,
Please know that we are thinking of you during this demanding time. While taking my daily dog walk today I saw a most beautiful rainbow. It reminded me of God’s good promises and of the deep love He has for each and every one of His children. As you walk through the days ahead always remember that even when it rains the “rainbow” of God’s grace can comfort, encourage and strengthen us.
With love,
Santiago and Elke
God be with you and be gracious to you both as you await a positive outcome. Many prayers with you; JR
MAY GOD’S HEALING, ENCOURAGEMENT AND LOVE BE WITH YOU PATAMA . GOD BLESS THE BOTH OF YOU.
