Bob and Betty Druien

Please pray for Bob Druien and his wife Betty. Bob is retiring from serving as the bi-vocational pastor of GCI’s Bowling Green, Kentucky congregation in order to take care of Betty, who has Alzheimer’s. Her health has deteriorated to the point that Bob is no longer able to pastor the church as well provide the care Betty needs. They are moving to the Louisville, Kentucky area to be near their daughter.

We thank Bob for his many years of service as a pastor and our prayers are with both Bob and Betty in this difficult time in their lives. If you’d like to leave them a message of encouragement, you may use the comment feature below (sign-in required).

  1. Dear Bob,

Over the years you have been in my thoughts and prayers. Will never forget that you were the first elder that visited me when as a young college student I started to attend the WCG almost 35 years ago during the old Macomb and Springfield days. Those memories have always been very precious to me.

I am very saddened to hear about Betty. But, I also know that our Father will take care of her and that He will let His love shine through you as the both of you walk side by side along this difficult path. I will pray that you will find the needed support and wisdom.

Please, do give Betty a big hug for me.

    In Christ,
    Santiago

  2. Hello dear Bob,
May our Lord Jesus give extended comfort and grace in this time of needs for your wife Betty and yourself as care giver. Our prayers are for you and your wife. David and Linda Husmann.

  3. Bob and Betty, I don’t think we’ve ever met, but my heart goes out to you in thanks and well-wishes. Thanks for all the service you’ve given to the church over the many years—as pastor and I’m sure in many ways in pre-pastor days. And in well-wishes as you head off on a new (and trying) time of life. Our dear Father, Son and Spirit will continue to be with you and uphold you as you travel the road ahead. As it pictures in the poem, “Footprints,” these are the times when God moves even closer and will carry you through these days.

  4. Dear Bob,
You folks have been such a wonderful blessing to so many over the years. May the strength and comfort of our Lord sustain you in the days ahead.
With fond memories and much love,
    Dave F

  5. Howdy Bob,

So sorry to hear that Betty’s condition has worsened. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God’s love and grace be with you.

I appreciate our association over the years and still remember your hospitality when I was a guest in your home in Macomb.

    With our love,

    Ray and Carol Meyer

  6. Dear Mr. Druien, although you don’t know us, know that we are praying for you and your precious wife. We know that God knows your names, they are written in the palm of His hands. We know that God is faithful and He will never leave nor forsake you. We know this world is not our eternal destiny and the journey here can be difficult but we have God’s promises and He will fulfill them in your lives. God bless and keep you both always in His care.
